He joined the Inns of Court O.T.C. on 14 December 1914. He obtained a commission on the 26th April 1915. He served with the BEF in France and Flanders from 30 November 1915. He contracted pneumonia and was invalided home. He returned to France in January 1917. He was twice wounded in June and gassed in July, being sent home on sick leave. He returned to France and was killed in action.4 
Death*30 September 1917 Second Lieutenant Ernest Edwin Bradshaw died on 30 September 1917 at Wytschaete, West Flanders, Belgium, , at age 23; Serving with the Royal Field Artillery D Battery, 148th Brigade.7,8,4
