Peter Ward at the front right and his brother James front left. Sitting next to James is their grandma Mary Prescott and next to her holding on to Peter is her sister Sarah Bate (nee Prescott). On the left at the back is my Maggie Prescott, in the centre is Alice Bate( who married William Britch) and at the back on the right is my Peter Ward Snr. Peter Ward Jr looks about 7 which would date the photo about 1928 .This means that Frederick Bate (Sarah's husband had been dead about 27 years as he died young at 34. Alice would be about 31, Maggie would be about 37, Mary Prescott would be about 60,Peter Ward Snr would be about 40 and Sarah would be about 68.
