BiographyEthel Holland finished her schooling at St.Thomas's School (Golborne) at the age of 14 and on her way home to Ashton Road she called in at Glover's shop( which was next door to her Uncle William and Aunty Emily Holland's Post Office) as they needed someone in the shop. She started work the following Monday.
