Executors were: Elizabeth RATHBONE, Noah RATHBONE & John FISHER. Sue NORTON told me that the will mentioned properties in Park Lane, Macclesfield, rented to Samuel WORTHINGTON & Samuel RYDER, and from the rents, profits etc. of these properties, he charged his appointed Trustees (John JACKSOn & John FISHER) to raise 270 pounds to be paid out to his younger children as follows (not in order of birth): Abell RATHBONE, 40 pounds Olive, the wife of John THOMPSON, 40 pounds Edna, the wife of the Rev. James CRABTREE, 30 pounds Lois RATHBONE, 40 pounds Etchells RATHBONE, 40 pounds Henrietta RATHBONE, 40 pounds Rhoda RATHBONE, 40 pounds This money to be paid out in 2 x yearly instalment of 20 pounds, His son, Noah RATHBONE and his sons were to receive the above-mentioned premises, but if Noah did not have any surviving sons (which he didn't) then the premises were to go to Etchells RATHBONE, and if he did not have any sons (which I am not sure that he did) then the premises were to go to Abel RATHBONE and then on ot his sons. He bequeathed to his wife, Elizabeth RATHBONE, the small cottage presented rented to Samuel RYDER, plus all his monies, goods, chattels, which were valued at under 100 pounds when probate was granted on 23 October, 1802. |
