Biography* The most interesting story about Lillian Foster was she was very fond of writing letters which nobody could read. Roy Baxter has an example of her writing in the Baxter Bible when she entered the death of Joseph. Roy describes it as being very neat and artistic but unreadable. She would write to Sir Thomas and he would give it to his wife Mabel saying, you read it I don't know what she is trying to tell me. The best story is the time she sent away for a pair of shoe's and the reply came back. Dear Mrs Baxter, "We don't know what you want but we are sure we have not got it".9

Occupation* Frederick Martin Furniss was a farmer at Cayton Manor, Newport, Shropshire, England, .1
Biography* Roy Baxter said "My father always said of them that his sister did the farming while Fred looked after the children, but then he would he was a real family man. Although history of Mary and her sister Alicce says that at Dutton they had to work hard so they were certainly up to it. I went to Caynton Manor many times but can not remember my Aunty Mary, Uncle Fred often came and stayed at Church Farm, so it is perhaps because my brother and I were always at boarding school. The family still farm around Newport."
