(Coroner) Inquest27 January 1891 An inquest was held on the death of Amelia Freeth by Mr W T Husband Deputy-Coroner for Sout West Lancashire on 27 January 1891;The fatal accident at Warrington - Concerning the death of Amelia Freeth, two years of age, daughter of a labourer living at 27 Orford Lane. On Monday afternoon deceased and her sister were passing the gable end of a house in Orford Lanewhen one of two gates that had been propped up against the wall fell upon her, she having lightly touched it as she passed. Death resulted almost immediately, the gate being a heavy one. The jury returned a verdict of "Accidental Death," and added a comment as to the carelessness of the person who placed the gates in the position indicated by the evidence.1
